Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Contractor – LookML Developer at 911Cyber. The LookML Developer will be responsible for developing Looker models, exploring and analyzing data, creating data visualizations, and optimizing data queries for efficient reporting.

Qualifications

• Data Modeling, LookML, and Data Visualization skills
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management
• Experience in optimizing data queries for performance
• Familiarity with Looker or similar BI tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant certifications in data analysis or Looker development

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize LookML models and views to ensure the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of data models.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into LookML models and reports.
• Build and optimize complex data visualizations and dashboards that drive actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and issues within LookML models.
• Continuously improve and refine the LookML codebase and ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a LookML Developer with a solid understanding of Looker and LookML (at least 1-3 years).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with complex data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
